the dandy highwayman.

We're having a lovely weekend in the country this weekend. Well, we're trying to. It's 10:30pm here and the spud is currently up and after tricking his father into letting him get up by pulling the wee-wee card he is now using every delaying tactic in his capacious book of manoevres. By that I mean that I watched him brush his teeth for the second time and now he is rampaging up the hallway looking for our hostess, who is cowering in a spare bedroom trying to protect her son (Einstein of the many words) from the distractions of mine.

Now we are putting the spud to bed in our bed. This post is officially hijacked.

Tag you're it! Tag you're it! I've tagged you twice. Please come by my blog and see what it's all about. :)

I have been in the same awkward position of having another parent avoiding my own child--it's particularly uncomfortable! Good luck!

The old wee wee card. It's a winner everytime. The one time we choose not to believe it will be the one time that they aren't joking... Hope you got a good nights kip!

Oh yes - my two are masters of delay tactics...it drives me absolutely crazy...'Mummy - just one more thing...it's really important...erm can't quite remember what it is though now...' And yes, we have the wee wee one almost every night! Deep breaths!

Carlie - thanks, I popped over and will try to do it soon.

Michelle - I know, mortifying!

Brit - ignore the wee card at your peril!

Rosiescribble - aha, so not just me then...

Maternal Tales - yes and the threat of tears if they don't get another story... it's worth the five minutes to avoid the half hour tantrum... a winner every time...
