Tag, I'm it...

OK. Because I'm too tired strapped for time, I am creating this filler post. Basically, I have been 'tagged' in a game oddly called "Chinese Freeze Tag" by Tara at Love, Food, Wine and Good Chick Flix. I tried to track it back to it's origins but gave up after, er, two tracks.

Here are the rules: I have to write ten facts and/or habits of mine. Afterwards is a list of ten people in no specific order. These are the names of the commenters on this blog innocent bystanders whom I have tagged and thus drawn into this game. If they wish, they can then write their own blog listing ten interesting facts about themselves and select another ten people to tag - but not me.

1. I am secretly a Canadian

2. I still ride my motorbike even though I am a mother now. I am not listening to you. I have my fingers in my ears. Nyahnyahnyahnyahnyah

3. I am afraid that because my 8-month-old son is so strong and physically able that he is secretly stupid.

4. My frog prince is in fact a real Frenchman. He is not, however, a real Prince. This works for me as I believe the French beheaded their last Royals.

5. I would trade my motorbike in for another baby. Maybe.

6. While it was me who wanted the new cat, it is the frog who the cat adores. He's jumping into his lap right now. Bastard isn't that cute?

7. I have tried to read all the blogs of all my commenters. Anonymous doesn't seem to have one though.

9. I truly believe that when I stop breastfeeding, my son will stop caring whether or not I exist.

10. I hate this sort of thing. I apologise profusely to all of those whom I have tagged in this ridiculous time-wasting exercise.

11. I skipped number 8. Did you care?

Now for my victims choice of fellow bloggers to tag: conor, sufferingsummer, femme, laurie ann, allison, mrs frog, jamie, darth sardonic, self employed mum and last but definitely not least hoto.

Apart from my brother, these are all new commenters on my blog, I am scared of too respectful of my longer term readers to involve them in such frippery. Actually, this was the most complicated post ever. I am not good at html tags.

No, I don't mind you skipped #8. I'm too busy being grateful for not getting tagged!

Thanks for playing!

this is sheer brilliance! i actually ought to despise and eschew these kinds of things, but am constantly trying to drum up interest in my dumb little blog by staging games for my "reader" (insert snicker here) to play by commenting, so i actually enjoy them for their pure randomness. so watch for me to mangle an attempt at the same kinda thing soon.

would you be completely appalled if i added you to my pals list?

Very cool, relatable blog. Glad to see it, will visit often!

I can promise I will take this tag and run with it if I have, oh let's just say absolutely nothing else to do...so check back...and maybe I will do it in the next few months...cause it seems once every few months is about as often as I have absolutely nothing else to do...thanks for thinking of me.

I've read a few of you're blogs and think you are very funny. I normally avoid reading blogs because I have never found one that keeps my interest. However, since I started a blog I thought I would read a couple and I wanted to compliment you because I feel you just don't miss a beat. You are a writer.

Ditto numbers 7 and 9!

If I ever am out of work long enough to post in my blog again I'm sure I MIGHT manage to post the tag thingy.

I was a bit upset that I wasn't tagged! - only joking! thanks for your message - i was very excited to see a comment had been left! I was thinking... you could probably get your posts published into a book. Your writing is brilliant and really well observed. I'd buy it, anyway! Are you a writer by profession?

I was just wondering where you met your frog? Been looking for one for some time now but it seems they are hiding. Hmmm

I really like reading your blog... amazingly relatable (which is funny because I am neither a mom or a wife) and completely unpretentious.

And don't worry, ride that bike. Enjoy the wind in your hair... Once your son is in school, you'll be the "cool mom".

nice blog.. :) looking forward to reading your stuff more often. :)

Thanks all! I would have loved to tag you all but unfortunately either I can't leave comments in your blog (krissie) or I ran out of names to tag before I got to you. And creating those darn links nearly killed me. Always happy to be added to someone elses blog - have to get a move on updating my links I see.

Wow, just wow, on #5.

I for real didn't expect that after reading your blog from the beginning. Don't get me wrong you come accros as a crazily in love Mom but I was still surprised.

Talk about coming full circle.

Everybody with me now, 1... 2... 3... AAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWW. So sweet.

But GOD don't trade your bike, you need something to keep you sane.

Wow, This is my first time reading your blog, but i just love it, as i am the breastfeeding mom of an 8 month old boy also who is running short on plain t-shirts.

The world is such a small place. Nice to meet you. I will be back.

I must be a total spaz but i have no idea how to do what you asked...i am new to this blogging and no one reads mine so i don't know ten people...sigh... but it does sound fun!

Your blog is great though, i enjoy reading and check back often for new entries.

I don't know why, as I have nearly nothing in common with you (I presume, anyway) but I like reading this blog. It makes me smile, which is important for me here in Iraq.

I very much enjoy your blog. I love #3 on your list. I remember that! All the outlandish things you think of as a new mother and try to immediately "hush!" out of your head. My baby is turning twenty-three (yes! my reaction as well...)in a few days and it has been the best time I ever have had. Be certain he has a good sense of humor and keep yours! You will be certain of entertainment for years to come.
Write on.

P.S. I commented on your comment on my blog - was hoping it would give you a chuckle.

Hey Sparx

I like your mental notes, He will never stop caring, he may forget why he does occasionally, but he will never stop.
I applaud the fact that you still ride your bike, had to trade mine for a Mini when my first was born (wife couldn't cope with baby in saddlebags idea) but back on 2 again now.
Keep up the good work and the writing.

Michael

You are so funny, you make me laugh till tears stream down my face and I have been reading your blog, half hoping you will write more and half wish ing I could write like this, with lashing of writers envy thrown in. Great stuff. You look very much like one of my cousins, well your profile anyway, however she lives on Vancouver Island (I am Canadian too, which is a shame as it would be lovely to have her only a motorbike ride away!)Keep writing, I would buy your book... if you ever got around to making your "Mamalogue" into a book that is. oh my I did go on a bit, sorry. Keep on blogging...

Hello! I'm Juanky and I'm Spanish
I'm a fan of your blog, it's all about the quality content, keep it up! I want to add you to my blogroll at http://juankydanzas.blogspot.com/ Sorry for my English and you can write a comment in my blog please, Thanks

Well first things first. Me an Indian who ( surprise surprise) can speak English (well if you are in IT, you probably are one of the few Americans who KNOW that already). I still meet people who are shocked to meet an Indian who speaks English. {Rather long and useless disclaimer, but I have put this at the start anyway}

This is my FIRST experience with the world of blogs and your blog is awesome. Incidentally , your son would be born about the same time as mine and all that you have written over here has helped me take notes of what HAS gone through my wife's head..especially the ones about plain clothes and babies with a mind of their own..Let's see if it will make me a better husband now..ha ha..

You have probably inspired me to begin on this blogging thing sometime and give a channel for me to "express" my creative side...which I think is as tough as expressing milk for the first time...as I learnt from my wife..

Cheers,
Rahul
