Springy Spud Friday

I seem to have become the social secretary for my little coterie of parental/toddler units and today rounded up 3 others to accompany us for a return bout with the Science Museum.

Since last time we barely made it out of the playroom in the cellar, today we decided to brave the exhibition. Apart from the tube shutting down and the outrageous behaviour of some of the visitors (and for once I'm not talking about the toddlers) we had a brilliant, if absolutely knackering time. While I didn't get the camera out for the rocket room... or the train room... or basically any bloody other room the following pictures are pretty much in line with the tenor of the day.

And just to round it off, this is Brixton today.

Ignore the roadworks and you can see it's not all lost oyster cards and poo, my life.

1)Oohhh, Brixton looks so idyllic! Love the row of low buildings.

2)Is it me, or had Charlie grown a foot in the last few weeks??

Jennie - 1) did you enlarge this? I did just now and you can see the roadworks and the general air du shit... 2) A centimetre, but if feels like a foot.

Tara - It is great; it's the best thing about living in cities, having access to all this stuff hey?

Frog - yes that's right, taunt me in my hour of need!

Rosiescribble - I know, hooray!

The weather looks great! So jealous! And Spud looks like he's having a blast! I'd love to take JG to somewhere like that! Good that things are going along so well!

I'll swap you my Oyster Card for a remote control....

At first I didn't read closely, and I thought you actually took 3 kids along without the parents! I almost fell off my chair. I swear the Science Center near us blows sleeping gas out of the air ducts because I feel like I could sleep for 1000 years after being there. Either that, or I'm getting old. Whatever.
Your kid is growing like a weed! An adorable weed.

You have crocuses...........:-D
I have snow cement........3 feet of it:-(

For those who don't know:

Snow cement (n) Compacted snow caused by repeated melt and refreeze activity ie looks like snow feels like ice takes twice as long to melt when spring finally does arrive sometime in May!

Snow cement season is followed by Mud season.

I think that is the largest KFC in the known universe! Nice spread of crocuses, though.

You're right. It looks much more idyllic when you can't see the lurid details! But it is quite pretty anyway.
And your boy is looking like such a big BOY!

Wow you've got crocuses, our forsythia is just starting to bloom. We got to the Science museum near Winchester, never been to the London one before but it looks amazing so may take a day trip up this summer.

Love the museum pics! I can never get my camera out when we're at the local museum. Too busy chasing the kids. I'm out of town most of this week, but I think next week I'll take a day off from the daily grind and go hit the Virginia Living Museum. They've got an outdoor boardwalk/animal habitat trail. I won't take pictures of that either, I'm sure.

BTW, Brixton looks lovely, roadwork and all ;)

OH, I loved toddler-hood! Sniff sniff, sigh - but grandmother hood is in my future so I'm good!

Jonny's Mommy - oh you will - and I'm so glad he's better now...

Frog - I have SO many of those as well, one MUST be yours!

Jen - I know, we keep running out of trousers. Can you imagine going out somewhere on your own with 3 toddlers? Well, you might, you do look after children for a living mind you...

Helen - snow cement! I remember it well... poor you!

Lola - it might just be at that...

Cactus - yes, I should have cropped that pic firstly!

DJ - I promise you, you won't be let down... but it does get crowded with people just to warn you.

Arcadia - Thanks for coming by and commenting!

Helen - you have to plan to have the camera completely ready at all times I think... can't imagine trying it with more than one child...

Lady M - really? Wow, hooray!!
