Fuck me. I have to show you this. This is, no shit, my son on his new bike today, going around the local BMX track 20 minutes after we took the stabilisers off.
Sadly all we had was an old phone with rubbish resolution but I had to post this up in the general spirit of being gobsmackingly proud of him. And yes, he is wearing a helmet. And knee pads. And that's the Frog paddling helplessly behind him.
Anyway, that's me regurgitating all over your screen. Over and out!

Hahaha, we are kindred spirits - that's just the kind of kid milestone that requires excessive swearing! Love it! And truly - it really is the first bike ride that just about does you in. Can our hearts take any more, really?

Carol - seriously, that was his first EVER no-stabilisers-bike-ride; on a gravel BMX track. We were so paranoid that when I wasn't filming there were two of us waddling around after him...

Rosie - you'd be amazed what the right inspiration can do... I am guessing she's never salivated over the BMX track before though?! I have a picture of Charlie aged 2 trying to go around it on his scooter, this is one of his major dreams...
frog looks decidedly beatnik. and huzzah! your spud is riding around on two wheels. that's some pretty fun times right there.
Darth - Beatnik! Hahah! Yes, I guess he does a bit (snarf). Yeah, two wheels good, four wheels bad. He went around it again today - only about 5 of the hills he can't make it up now, he got properly muddy and everything.
